Macarthur Square, in partnership with Macarthur FC, have been celebrating their sponsorship of the club and the Bulls’ inaugural A-League season, through an exciting program of in centre activity.
It included last Thursday’s much anticipated opening of the Macarthur FC Experience retail store on the third floor of Macarthur Square.
The store is the first of its kind across any major sporting code and will provide fans with an opportunity to engage with the club in a brand new retail experience.
Macarthur Square have also commenced their own free Covid-safe Macarthur FC game day activations during the home match against Sydney FC last Saturday.
A series of more such family friendly events are planned for upcoming home games.
Hosted in the Kellicar Lane restaurant precinct, each event will include a pop-up screen to live stream the game from Campbelltown Stadium, and special dining offers throughout the day.
A dedicated seated fan zone where families can bring a picnic or take away from restaurants and enjoy the game will also be available to book.
Macarthur FC ticketholders benefit from free parking at Macarthur Square on home game days by presenting their ticket at the Guest Services Desk on Level 3.
Visitors and ticketholders are also welcome to the centre before to enjoy a meal in Kellicar Lane.
“As a major community partner of Macarthur FC, we are proud to bring these exclusive experiences to our customers, retailers and the local community,’’ says Trevor Hill, Centre Manager at Macarthur Square.
“With many passionate football fans in the region, we are looking forward to continuing to provide opportunities to be part of the excitement of Macarthur FC’s first season and showing our support.”
Macarthur Square’s program of sponsorship activities commenced with a partnership video, featuring Lorenzo Violi, 10, and Matilda Post, 13, the two young winners of the Be our Next Football Star competition back in October.
The video was filmed at Macarthur Square with special guest appearances by Macarthur FC captain, Mark Milligan, and goalkeeper Adam Federici.
The centre also recently hosted the very first free Macarthur Square football camp during the January school holidays.
Young football fans from 5 – 12 years old were given the opportunity to participate in fun football activities with Macarthur FC trained and endorsed community coaches.
This activity also kicks off the next Macarthur Square Bulls in Schools Program for 2021.
The next Macarthur FC game day activations at Macarthur Square are on:
Saturday 6 February 7:10pm – Macarthur FC v Western Sydney Wanderers;
Friday 12 February 7:05pm – Macarthur FC v Adelaide United.
