Macarthur LDV recently hosted the president of SAIC Motor and a large contingent of journalists and television reporters from China.

The delegation included 20 dealers from around the world and five customers from China.

Macarthur LDV, which is located in Blaxland Road, Campbelltown, is part of the Clintons group and company director Mario Kordovolos and dealer principal Kurt Kordovolos welcomed Mr Chen Zhixin and his entourage to our region.

Kurt Kordovolos said he was proud to host the visit.

“We can’t fathom the enormity of this honour in Australia really,’’ he said.

“Literally hundreds of millions of people will see positive news and reports about the Campbelltown region and Macarthur LDV.

“It was also an important day for our business and the partnership we have with SAIC Motor,’’ Mr Kordovolos said.

LDV is a division of SAIC (Shanghai Automobile and Industrial Corporation), the largest automotive manufacturer in China and one of the world’s biggest companies.

A Fortune Global 500 company, SAIC sold close to six million vehicles in 2015 and has formed joint ventures with Volkswagen and General Motors.

LDV is one of Europe’s most recognised commercial vehicle brands.

Not only has LDV had sales success as a cargo and passenger van, it has been selected by the British government for use by the Royal Bank and Royal Mail.

It is also the recipient of numerous international awards.

Now they are taking on the Australian market, including here in Macarthur.

Clintons Campbelltown sales manager Ben Jensen was ecstatic with the response from the delegation after a tour of the Blaxland Road showroom and state of the art workshop.
