Love is in the air at Willowdale

For first home buyers Maddie Butcher and Luke Mirabilio, the 475 square metre home site they purchased at Stockland’s Willowdale in Denham Court will forever hold a special place in their hearts after Luke proposed to Maddie on their block.

“It was so romantic and came as a total surprise to me when Luke popped the question,” Maddie said.

“We’ve known each other since kindergarten and have been going out since Year 12 so I guess it was only a matter of time – but it was still a very special moment which I’ll treasure forever,” she said.

“We’re getting married in March next year so we hope that our new home will be finished by then and we can move straight in.”

The couple, both 24, have chosen a single storey four bedroom house which is being built by Luke’s father Silvio Mirabilio.

Work is expected to begin on the house in the next couple of months.

Maddie said the couple chose Willowdale because of the community’s quality amenities and convenient location.

“We chose to build our new house at Willowdale because it’s close to our workplaces and families in Campbelltown and Fairfield and we really like the nearby parks and open spaces,” she said.

“Another drawcard is the established shopping centre which has a Coles and specialty shops.

“We’re planning to have a family so it’s great that there already are playgrounds and plans for a new public school.

“The road links are pretty good as well with the M5 and M7 close by, which is good for Luke as he has to drive a lot because of his job as a pharmaceutical rep.

“If we want to use public transport, Leppington train station is close by.”

Richard Rhydderch, Stockland NSW regional manager of residential development, said there were a variety of reasons why first home buyers were drawn to Willowdale.

“Our community offers fantastic value with new homes considerably more affordable than the average established home in the Denham Court area,” Mr Rhydderch said.
