NSW Minister for Small Business, John Barilaro, says the state government would continue to reduce barriers for small business.
He was speaking during during a visit to businesses in Campbelltown, accompanied by the state member for Campbelltown, Bryan Doyle.
“Small business is the backbone of our economy,’’ Mr Doyle said.
“With 8,229 local small businesses in the Campbelltown LGA it has been the mission of this Government to ensure that small business have the utmost support from government.’’
Mr Doyle and the minister visited three local businesses, The Lighting Centre, Jamaica Blue and Pannarottis at Macarthur Square.
“We are proud of how vibrant the small business community is in Campbelltown,’’ Mr Barilaro said.
“Every small business owner I spoke to was enthused by the efforts of this government,” Minister Barilaro said.
“Having owned and operated a small business, and now as Minister for Small Business, I understand the issues and challenges small businesses face,” he said.
Since 2011 the NSW Government has implemented the 30 day payment reforms, created the Small Business Commission, introduced the Small Biz Connect program and delivered over 230 additional reforms which continue to reduce unnecessary administrative burdens, fees and charges imposed by Government bureaucracy.
