Wests Tigers coach Jason Taylor has named his side for the Round 22 match against the Cowboys at Leichhardt Oval this Sunday, August 7 and there’s no joy for Robbie Farah or his supporters.
The only change to the side that accounted for the Parramatta Eels last weekend comes through a knee injury to Luke Brooks.
Jack Littlejohn will slot in there to play his second match for the club at halfback.
Littlejohn joined Wests Tigers in the off-season from Manly-Warringah and played in the round one victory over the Warriors in the absence of Brooks – who was suspended at the time.
There was speculation Farah may have been considered for the vacant number 7 jumper, but it seems Jason Taylor is holding his nerve.
It now seems very likely that Robbie Farah has played his last match in first grade for the Wests Tigers.
Michael Chee Kam joins a five-man interchange bench alongside the ever improving Joel Edwards, Tim Grant, Ava Seumanufagai and Kyle Lovett.
In other grades, Wests Tigers’ Intrust Super Premiership side travel to Pepper Stadium on Saturday to face the sixth-placed Penrith Panthers in a crucial clash for Paul Stringer’s side.
Farah is listed as hooker for the Wests Tigers Intrust side.
After a narrow loss to the table topping Mounties last weekend, Wests Tigers sit fourth on the ladder and just two competition points adrift of the Illawarra Cutters and Warriors who are equal second.
Meanwhile in Holden Cup, Wests Tigers welcome the return of hooker Jacob Liddle after slipping to seventh on the ladder with a loss to Parramatta last Saturday.
Willie Peters’ side face the in-form Cowboys, who sit in second-place on the ladder, in what is an important clash for both sides.
