After 34 years, the Lifeline Shop in Queen Street, Narellan is on the move.

But don’t worry, it is not going far at all from its current premises.

The Lifeline shop is relocating into new and modern premises, just across the road to Narellan Town Centre.

“We spent much time and energy in ensuring our new premises are centrally located, close to public transport and provide ease of parking,’’ says Brad Hannagan, CEO of Lifeline Macarthur and Western Sydney.

“The fact that the new store is located directly opposite the old site is of course very convenient and goes a long way in allowing us to provide continuity of service to our community.

“It also provides for a smooth transition for our dedicated volunteers and staff.

“The relocation provides a great opportunity for us to reach out and connect with new members of the community and continue to raise awareness for the local services and support we provide,’’ he said.

Lifeline Macarthur and Western Sydney operate seven stores across the Macarthur region which are vital in raising money for crisis support and suicide prevention services for the local community.

The Lifeline Shop Narellan is due to open in December at shop G29, Narellan Town Centre.  Trading will continue at the existing site – pictured above and top – until that time.

Lifeline, Australia’s largest crisis line, will receive well over one million calls this year.

It relies on the generosity of the community and volunteer support to continue its life saving work, so please consider making a donation or volunteering.

  • For 24/7 crisis or suicide prevention support, please call Lifeline on 13 11 14 – online crisis support chat is also available 7pm to midnight 7 days a week at www.lifeline.org.au/gethelp.
