Children across the Camden area are invited to start the year with creativity.

On offer is an exciting line-up of activities to collect and do at home during the rest of January, as well as a stack on online activities to keep the kids busy these holidays.

The activities, which are available to pick up from Camden, Oran Park and Narellan Libraries, include:

The Elastic Fantastic Kit, available since Monday, where children are invited to have some fun with the classic playground jumping game;

The Goldfish Soap Kit, available from next Monday, January 11, which is a simple melt-and-pour soap project that will reveal a fun goldfish;

The Stencil Inten-sil Kit, available from Monday, January 18, where children can create library bag that perfectly suited to them. The kit contains a bag, fabric paint, stencil and brush; and

The Beaded Man Kit, available from Monday, January 25, where children are invited to build their own beaded man, find funny places to pose him and send a picture in to nlnlibrary@camden.nsw.gov.au to go in the draw for a bookish prize.

 And the online activities, available anytime, are:

A colouring-in image, where children are encouraged to complete their masterpiece and email it to nlnlibrary@camden.nsw.gov.au for a sweet reward.

A number of online quizzes, where children can attempt to achieve a high score on a range of fun topics, including Harry Potter and Disney.
