In the past five years Lakeside Golf Club Camden has won four annual regional awards for having the best wedding venue.
But now the champagne is really flowing because it has taken out a national award for the very first time.
Lakeside has been named Best Wedding Venue – Golf and Country Club in Australia at the inaugural Australian Wedding Awards.
The same organisation that runs the annual Bride’s Choice Awards is also behind these new national honours for wedding venues.
More than 30 regions of Australia, from tropical North Queensland down to the Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges, across to Perth and the west coast, as well as Sydney and the Macarthur region are covered by the awards.
Lakeside Golf Club Camden has been named Brides Choice Award best wedding venue four of the last five years.
“To be recognised as winners at the regional level has always been fantastic, but to be winners on a national scale I am truly blown away,’’ said Patricia Dielman, Wests Group Macarthur functions and events manager.
“Particularly after the tumultuous few years we’ve all had.
“As always I am humbled to work alongside such a fantastic crew of people and couldn’t be more proud of what we have achieved.’’
Ms Dielman says Lakeside Golf Club is the perfect wedding location because it offers the convenience of ceremony and reception facilities onsite as well as endless photo opportunities on the picturesque golf course.
The reception space has a modern country charm feel to it with two stunning antique gold chandeliers, a veranda with a fairy light canopy, private manicured gardens, a private bar and entrance foyer.
“Our hard working team of staff are dedicated to ensuring that every couple and their guests leave with the very best impression and plenty of wonderful memories,” Ms Dielman said.
