Campbelltown Labor MP Greg Warren yesterday hosted federal Shadow Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, David Feeney, to discuss issues affecting veterans in the Macarthur region.

The visit was arranged by Mr Warren after meeting the Shadow Minister at the ALP National Conference in Melbourne earlier this year and inviting him to visit Campbelltown and to meet with local veterans.

Mr Warren provided Mr Feeney with a guided tour of Dredges Cottage on Queen Street – home of the local Vietnam Veterans Association – followed by lunch at Campbelltown RSL.

During a walk along Queen Street the Shadow Minister also had the opportunity to speak to dozens of local residents and experience the vibrant Campbelltown community.

“There’s simply no better way for the Shadow Minister for Veterans’ Affairs to understand the issues affecting veterans than by actually getting out there and talking to them.”
