It will be a case of a “fair with 1950s flair’’ when the 2017 Kids of Macarthur Vintage Fifties & Collectables Fair opens its doors to the public this year.
If you’re one of those people who enjoy going back in time to experience music, stalls, fashion, dance groups and entertainment from the 1950s, this is an event no to be missed.
It’s less than two weeks away, so put the 2017 Vintage Fifties & Collectables Fair in your diary.
The fair is on Sunday, August 27 from 9.30am at the Cube convention and entertainment centre, Campbelltown Catholic Club.
But it’s not just the music, stalls, dance groups and entertainment that’s from the 1950s – it’s also the entry fee that harks back to another era.
Denise McGrath, the chief executive officer of the Kids of Macarthur Health Foundation said: “Entry is only $7 for adults and $2 for children and all entrants can participate in the fashion parade for no additional charge.’’
The winner will pick up a nice prize.
“The fashion parade will take place at 1.30pm, and the winner of best dressed will win a one night stay at the Holiday Inn Warwick Farm, with breakfast for two and an entry pass for the Warwick Farm races,’’ Ms McGrath said.
[social_quote duplicate=”no” align=”default”]“It’s a fantastic prize for anyone who wants to come down dressed in 1940s or 50s fashion.’’[/social_quote]
For those not into fashion or shopping – if that’s possible – check out the Campbelltown historic vehicle club display of their vintage automobiles at the turning circle as you enter the Campbelltown Catholic Club.
You can purchase tickets at the door of the fair with plenty of vintage flair, which will be open until 3pm.
