Aaron Woods will captain the side on Sunday.

Injuries at the business end of the season are once again hurting the Wests Tigers – just look at their team for round 19:

Aaron Woods is back but not Robbie Farah

Tim Simona is back but not David Nofoaluma.

Luke Brooks is back but not Curtis Sironen.

Yep. It was mixed news from coach Jason Taylor this afternoon when he named the Wests Tigers team to take on competition frontrunners Brisbane Broncos this Sunday at 4pm.

Venue? More bad news for Wests fans – it’s at Suncorp Stadium, so the task of making the final eight in 2015 ain’t getting any easier for our injury ravaged team.

Not a single soul outside the Wests Tigers family will give our boys a chance of winning in the old Queensland cauldron.

But the funny thing is that this season our best wins have been against fancied opposition like the Bulldogs and Souths. Would have added St George Dragons but they have their own problems after losing five in a row.

Curtis Sironen is out injured.

Still, there are eight rounds to go and anything can happen: this is rugby league after all where we have learned to expect the unexpected.

Robbie Farah missing the clash due to injury has resulted in Dene Halatau retaining his spot in the starting side for what will be his 150th NRL game for Wests Tigers.

Aaron Woods returns from Origin duties to captain the team, partnering Sauaso Sue in the front row, with big Keith Galloway named on a five man interchange bench.

The Tigers will also be bolstered by the return of Tim Simona and Luke Brooks from their respective injuries for the clash with Brisbane.
