It started out as a humble leagues club at Leumeah 47 years ago.
But that small club has grown and grown and is one of the best food and leisure facilities in south west Sydney.
In recent years Wests has also expanded to other parts of our growing region.
Its portfolio these days includes Lakeside Golf Club Camden, Country Club Gledswood Hills and Wests Tennis Club next door at Leumeah.
As a result, the Wests Group has adapted its branding name to reflect its bigger reach across the region and is now known as Wests Group Macarthur.
However, while it may be bigger, it says its core community values will not change.
“The Group continues to strive to be Macarthur’s clubs of choice focusing on community support, entertainment and club facilities, provided alongside quality service staff, value-added experiences, club expansions, community development and local sporting sponsorship through Wests Sports Council,’’ says Mr Mathew.
“Members will experience the same core business when visiting each of our clubs, which is to receive the identical standard of service, facilities and benefits as a whole.
“However, members are able to enjoy each destination in its own right, with its own exclusive entertainment and strategic points of difference.
“The key benefit to local community residents moving into the area is the ability to join Wests Group Macarthur in one location, whilst receiving access to each unique destination at no additional cost.
“It is one simple and interconnected journey providing friendly and superior service through exclusive entertainment offerings and an array of food and beverage facilities, in a warm and inviting environment,’’ he said.
“We aim to continue providing Wests Group Macarthur entertainment venues that place importance on providing members and guests with exceptional service, high-quality experiences and value-added exchanges in a comfortable social environment.”
Mr Mathew said Wests Group Macarthur will continue to support local charities, sporting associations and community causes in 2018 and beyond.
This year saw a total contribution of more than $3 million via ClubGrants categories 1 and 2.
Next year will be a very busy year, with Wests Group Macarthur planning for a number of future developments at each of its club venues.
“We look forward to very soon being able to share them with the people of Macarthur,’’ Mr Mathew said.
