The program makes it easy to identify the biggest health issues facing your workforce and make simple changes to create a healthier working environment for everyone.
Get Healthy at Work is a free NSW Government initiative that offers businesses all the tools, resources and support they need to help workers:
- make smarter food choices
- increase physical activity
- achieve a healthy weight
- incorporate active travel into their day
- quit smoking
- reduce high risk alcohol use
As part of the service, workers at participating businesses are offered a free and confidential Brief Health Check to help them better understand their risk of developing heart disease and type 2 diabetes. For business in Macarthur, the next local Get Healthy at Work information night will be held on Wednesday, April 29 from 5pm at Harrington Grove Country Club.
It is being hosted by WorkCover NSW and the NSW Office of Preventive Health in partnership with NSW Business Chamber and South Western Sydney Local Health District.
