Last night’s official opening of the Clintons Lexus and Toyota showroom in a landmark new building at Gregory Hills fronting Camden Valley Way was a sensational event for Macarthur.

But as far as the entertainment went, big music star Guy Sebastian definitely stole the show.

The very talented Mr Sebastian brought down the house with his performance, which included some of his biggest hits.

His surprise appearance towards the end of the function added another dimension of glamour to a very glamorous occasion.

Sebastian said he was there to perform free of charge, as a friend of the family which owns Clintons.

The who’s who of Macarthur were in attendance to witness the opening of the biggest Lexus showroom in Australia.

Indeed it is the first new Lexus showroom in Australia for a decade.

Arnold Vitocco, the Periches, Marsdens, local mayors and MPs and most of the local media were all there last night to help the Kordovolos family celebrate another massive expansion of the region’s oldest automotive firm.

 Mario Kordovolos

Family patriarch Mario Kordovolos made a short speech thanking everyone who has supported Clintons.

Mr Kordovolos, who had been Barry Clinton’s right-hand man for many years, took full control of the Clintons Toyota dealership in 2007 when he bought all of the shares in the company.

His son Kurt is now the dealer principal of the Clintons group.

Some of the VIPs in attendance included former rugby league stars Steve “Blocker’’ Roach and Paul Sironen, both Balmain Tigers legends.

Former Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke was also a guest.

The multi million dollar showroom complex boasts a 3,000 square metre state of the art underground service centre that has to be seen to be believed.

Fully tiled from entry to exit, it boasts 27 service bays and a full car wash machine.

But Clintons at Gregory Hills is not just a state of the art, landmark building – it has also brought around 80 jobs to the region – 40 in the service department and another 40 in sales and administration.
