Defending champions Gunners SC have beaten Oran Park Rovers 2-1 in the M-League men’s round 11 top of the table clash.
Oran Park drew first blood 23 minutes in through Bradon Clissold, following a poor clearance from the Gunners goalkeeper.
The lead was short lived, with a spectacular left foot volley from Daniele Chiandotto squaring things up just after the half-hour mark.
It was 1 -1 at half time and up stepped Anthony Nicola to break the deadlock for Gunners at the 61 minute mark.
Gunners had to defend their one goal lead without Mitchell Janes, after he was dismissed by the match official following a second caution.
The Rovers had their chances, but the Gunners held on to extend their lead at the top of the ladder.

Round 12 of the Men’s M-League continued on the weekend.
Gunners and Tigers faced off for the second time in a week and it was Gunners striker Anthony Nicola that opened the scoring with one of the classiest goals of the season at 41mins.
The Tigers hit back early in the second half courtesy of their captain, but it wasn’t long before the Gunners regained their lead and put the match beyond doubt, securing a 3 – 1 victory.

In other matches, Oran Park returned to the winners list defeating Eschol Park 2 – 1.
Mt Annan has all but secured a top four spot after a gritty 2-1 win over Narellan.
Ingleburn and Harrington shared points after a 2 – 2 draw.
The Eagles will host the Wolves on Wednesday evening in a catch up match from round 3.

WOMEN’S M-LEAGUE UPDATE
Round 11: Mid-week M-League action took us to Kooringa Reserve, the home of St Mary’s Eagle Vale Soccer Club where the Saints hosted Ingleburn Eagles Soccer Club
It was the Kelly Milligan show, as the star striker and 2019 Golden Boot winner bagged four as the Eagles picked up the points to keep the pressure on league leaders Camden Tigers.
Ingleburn 5 (Milligan 4, Gardiner 1) – St Mary’s 0
ROUND 12: Tahmoor brushed aside Harrington 4 – 0 to maintain third spot on the League table. Sarah Rech was the star for the Taipans with a brace.
Tahmoor 4 (Rech 2, Stein 1, Wilson 1) – Harrington 0
In other round 12 matches, Oran Park pulled off the upset of the season, thumping Ingleburn 5 – 1 away to lock in a finals spot.
Eschol Park move into sixth with a gutsy 2-1 win over St Mary’s, and the Camden Tigers secured the premiership with a resounding 8 – 0 victory over Narellan.
