Defending champions Gunners SC have beaten Oran Park Rovers 2-1 in the M-League men’s round 11 top of the table clash.

Oran Park drew first blood 23 minutes in through Bradon Clissold, following a poor clearance from the Gunners goalkeeper.

The lead was short lived, with a spectacular left foot volley from Daniele Chiandotto squaring things up just after the half-hour mark.

It was 1 -1 at half time and up stepped Anthony Nicola to break the deadlock for Gunners at the 61 minute mark.

Gunners had to defend their one goal lead without Mitchell Janes, after he was dismissed by the match official following a second caution.

The Rovers had their chances, but the Gunners held on to extend their lead at the top of the ladder.

Gunners 2 (Nicola, Chiandotto) – Oran Park 1 (B. Clissold).
