Six grenades, eight firearms and drugs with a potential street value of $3 million were seized yesterday morning during a Taskforce Falcon raid of an alleged safe house near Campbelltown.
Taskforce detectives, with assistance from Raptor Squad, executed a firearm prohibition order compliance check at the home in Glenfield.
As well as six grenades, police also seized three semi-automatic assault rifles, four shot guns, a pistol, firearm parts, more than 1000 rounds of ammunition, 6kg of cocaine, 1kg of methylamphetamine, 1kg of ketamine, 15kg of cannabis, 1.1kg of heroin, 107g of MDMA, electronic devices and about $9000 in cash.
A man and woman both aged 26 were arrested and taken to Campbeltown Police Station.
The man was charged with 27 offences, including:
- Possess dangerous/noxious thing with intention to injure
- Possess, supply or make explosive for unlawful purpose
- Possess more than 3 unregistered firearms, 1 is prohibited/pistol
- Possess more than 3 unregistered firearms without licence/permit
- Possess unauthorised pistol
- Not keep firearm safely-pistol
- Possess unauthorised prohibited firearm
- Not keep firearm safely prohibited firearm
- Two counts of possess unauthorised prohibited firearm
- Deface identification mark on firearm/part
- Two counts of possess unauthorised firearm
- Not keep firearm safely-not pistol/prohibited firearm
- Possess shortened firearm (not pistol) without authority
- Acquire firearm part without authority to do so
- Possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority
- Organise/conduct/assist drug premises
- Three counts of supply prohibited drug greater than large commercial quantity
- Supply prohibited drug greater than large commercial quantity
- Three counts of supply prohibited drug greater than indictable and less than commercial quantity
- Supply cannabis greater than indictable & less than commercial quantity
- Knowingly deal with proceeds of crime
He was refused bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court today (Wednesday).
The 26-year-old woman was charged with organising/conducting/assisting drug premises, and she was granted conditional bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court on August 27.
Established in May 2025, Task Force Falcon targets all organised crime, public place shootings and gangland violence committed by Organised Crime Networks in Sydney.
Following the work of specialist police from State Crime Command with assistance of Metropolitan Regions and the NSW Crime Commission, Task Force Falcon has arrested 683 people, resulting in 1727 charges.
