If you love where you live, set it free from graffiti

If you love where you live, and who doesn’t, you know there’s no place for graffiti.

With that in mind, locals are invited to join forces with Campbelltown Council to remove unwanted graffiti from the Bradbury underpass at The Parkway, pictured above.

All part of this year’s Graffiti Removal Day, it will take place on Sunday, March 28.

The two-hour clean-up will take place between 9am and 11am.

Mayor George Brticevic says Graffiti Removal Day was an opportunity for people to display their pride for their local area.

“This year’s Graffiti Removal Day theme is Love Where You Live,” he said.

“People in Campbelltown value their public spaces and the Bradbury underpass is a well-used thoroughfare between Bradbury and our main shopping precinct.’’

It’s also worth noting that removing graffiti across the Campbelltown local government area costs ratepayers $350,000 and uses 9,350 council staff hours every year.

If you’d like to get involved on March 28, there are more details on council’s website.

Meanwhile residents and their carers from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, are encouraged to visit the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Connection Desk at Campbelltown’s libraries.

The Connection Desk offers free one on one support for CALD people with a disability to help them find support and services, make access requests and help create their NDIS plan.

The desk will be open once a month until the end of June in each of council’s libraries.

No bookings are required and interpreter services are available during the session. For dates and times go to council’s website.
