This Saturday brides and grooms will flock to Macarthur’s natural wonder, the Australian Botanic Garden at Mt Annan.
It will all be part of Botanical Brides Wedding Open Day, an event that will offer a unique glimpse at the venue’s beautiful ceremony and reception locations.
Couples who attend will be treated to complimentary champagne and a stroll through a variety of mapped out, fully-styled ceremony and reception settings – including a new never before used ceremony location – The Island.
Also styled for the day will be the Australian PlantBank, renowned for its award-winning conceptual architecture.
A number of local wedding industry suppliers including photographers, celebrants, caterers and wedding stylists will also be available for brides and grooms to talk to about their special day.
Rebecca Anderson, Australian Botanic Garden visitor experience venue manager said the event will surprise and delight couples looking for the right place to host their nuptials and celebrations.
“The Garden, is definitely one of Sydney’s best kept secrets when it comes to wedding venues,’’ Ms Anderson said.
“We have nine gorgeous ceremony locations and four fabulous reception offerings which cater to different tastes and budgets.
We can accommodate countless styling possibilities as well.
“The Connections Garden is extremely popular, it looks fantastic with the waterfall and tropical backdrop,’’ Ms Anderson said.
“And as a sweetener, couples who attend on the day will have the chance to win more than $2,000 in prizes on offer, including a free wedding venue hire including ceremony, photo and reception locations to the value of $2,300.”
To enter, guests must visit the Garden and take a “selfie’’ in at least one of the styled settings on show, before uploading their image to Instagram tagging @AustralianBG and #botanicalbrides. Couples can enter as many times as they like.
