The Kids of Macarthur Health Foundation annual fair will turn back time to the 1950s.
The Macarthur Vintage 50s and Collectables Fair will feature a raft of traders who will offer vintage, art deco and retro collectables.
Household items, dolls, bears, toys, and miniatures, various craft and hobby trader tables, jewellery, plus the foundation’s now famous white elephant jumble sale will also be part of the 2022 fair on September 18.
“We have lots of prizes, activities and entertainment for the day including a major raffle, lucky door prizes every hour,’’ a foundation spokesperson said.
“Look out for the vintage fashion parade and competition with prizes, kids lucky dip and face painting at the Kids of Macarthur Store.
“On our main stage we will have singing and dance performances from Danceworks, Jeanette Brigs’ Academy of Dance and Big Al’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Dance Group.
“This year we are also joined by Campbelltown Historic Vehicle Club who will have several vintage cars on display,’’ the spokesperson said.
Entry to the fair is $7 for adults, $2 for children and free entry for toddlers aged under three.
The first 50 people through the door will receive a special gift bag.
Kids of Macarthur Health Foundation is a registered children’s charity serving the Macarthur region since 2000.
The fair is part of the foundation’s fundraising, with the money going towards buying the latest paediatric medical equipment available for the children’s wards in our local hospitals.
“Our focus is to enhance the level of health care provided to all local children in our hospitals and community health centres,’’ the spokesperson said.
“All funds raised at this event help every child in Macarthur, whether they have special needs, a disability, have been injured in an accident or are unwell.
“Every child has access to the medical equipment purchased by Kids of Macarthur Health Foundation.
“All equipment purchased is in addition to government expenditure and would not be available for local use if not purchased by the foundation.’’
