Gardening gurus and beginners alike can hone their skills at two free workshops in the Macarthur region this Saturday, July 22.
They will be held at the Macarthur Centre for Sustainable Living.
Nestled next to the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan between Campbelltown and Camden, the Macarthur Centre for Sustainable Living is a unique, not-for-profit, community facility which promotes sustainability.
Supported by local councils and the Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust, the centre is entirely self-sufficient, generating its own power and re-using all rain and waste water.
The centre offers a range of free workshops throughout the year.
This coming weekend one of the workshop on offer will focus on “preparing for spring vegetable gardens’’.
It will run from 10am to 12pm.
Those wanting to make a start in gardening can benefit from the “Gardening for Beginners’’ workshop, which will be held later in the day, from 1pm to 3pm,
The workshops are free but bookings are essential and can be made by calling 4647 9828 or going online here.
