Macarthur region vegetable growers will be able to access the latest information on innovative irrigation technologies and soil wealth at a free workshop in Camden next Friday, June 17.
Run by Greater Sydney Local Land Services, the Review of Current Vegetable Irrigation Technologies and Soil Wealth Workshop will cover a range of topics on irrigation technology, the role of cover crops in improving profitability, crop yields, soil health and more.
Greater Sydney Senior Land Services officer (Irrigation) Matthew Plunkett said the workshop was a great chance for growers to access advice and information from a range of industry experts.
“I would urge anyone in the veggie growing business to take advantage of this event,” he said.
“We will cover a wealth of topics on the day including new irrigation technologies, the latest soil monitoring equipment with case studies from growers as well as soil wealth project resources and more.”
The event will be held at Grech Farms, Camden, which is located at 175 Terry Road Theresa Park.
It will start at 1pm and close at 3pm.
The workshop is funded by Horticulture Innovation Australia Limited via the Vegetable levy and funds from the Australian Government.
