Small businesses face more challenges than ever before.
Unprecedented technological and social change has forced everyone in business to focus more and more on “review and improve’’.
From using social media to managing time, all businesses need to adapt if they are to survive and succeed.
But at least these days there’s plenty of help and advice available, more often than not for free.
As is a forum on September 4, where experts from a range of industries will provide local business operators with crucial insights as well as networking opportunities.
Campbelltown City Council, in partnership with the South West Sydney Business Enterprise Centre, will host the Drive Your Business Further forum.
The five experts in their field are Rick Fitzpatrick from Fitzpatrick Group, Belinda McLean from HR Focus, Adam Quinn from Kelly Partners, Serena Ryan from Serena Dot Ryan and Geoffrey Ellis from the South West Sydney BEC.
Their topics will be:
Ideas into action – business planning is not optional, but essential
Staff success – managing staff because you care
Making money – how to get your accounting and key performance indicators right
Social Media – why you need to get social media now, so you can get busy in business now
Customers – quality service and experience are the keys to success
Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr George Brticevic, said he was pleased council was able to facilitate opportunities like this forum to support the growth and success of local micro, small and medium sized businesses.
“Council wants to ensure there will be local jobs available to the local population as our city grows and transitions into a key metropolitan strategic centre over the next 20 years,” he said.
“To do that we need a strong small business sector, and the Drive Your Business Further forum provides an invaluable opportunity for local business operators to access advice on action they can take to improve their business, directly from experts in their industries.”
