Come and have your say: MP Greg Warren with local elders outside the Glen Alpine Community Centre, venue for Saturday’s Campbelltown Seniors Forum.

There are almost 20,000 senior citizens living in Campbelltown and some of them will get the chance to discuss their concerns this Saturday, August 19.

The Campbelltown Seniors Forum at the Glen Alpine Community Centre will be the first of two planned.

A second one will be held later in the year at Campbelltown Civic Centre.

Saturday’s forum will be hosted by Campbelltown MP Greg Warren and feature a panel of guest speakers as well as a question and answer session for residents to raise their specific concerns.

Guest speakers will include representatives from Campbelltown City Council, Campbelltown Police Local Area Command, National Seniors Australia, Campbelltown Cyber Seekers and Macarthur Diversity Services.

Mr Warren said he was looking forward to hearing from Campbelltown’s senior citizens first-hand, and encouraged all seniors to come along and have their say.

“As the local member, there is nothing I take more seriously than getting out and about in our community and listening to people’s concerns,’’ he said.

“I encourage all of Campbelltown’s seniors to come along and have their say,” Mr Warren said.

Attendance at the forum is open to anyone over the age of 65, however due to venue capacity constraints RSVP is essential.
