Ingleburn’s Greg Percival Centre will host the forum.

Campbelltown City Council’s first Open Access Forum for 2015 is open to people with disability, carers and interested members of the community.

Aim of the forum is to help develop a new Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP).

The forum will be held on Tuesday, February 10, at the Greg Percival Community Centre in Ingleburn from 10am to midday.

Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr Paul Lake, said the forum will provide a platform for learning more about local disability services and sharing ideas on the development of the new, four-year Disability Inclusion Action Plan for Campbelltown.

“The plan is being developed as part of new legislation introduced late last year, and focuses on strategies to increase access and participation for people with disability more broadly in the community,” Cr Lake said.

“The Open Access Forum provides an ideal opportunity for people with disability, their carers and other community members to express their opinions on issues that matter to them and contribute to the new plan’s overall actions and goals.”

The forum will include the DIAP consultation, guest speakers, information stalls and light refreshments.

Council is developing the new Disability Inclusion Action Plan in line with State Government regulations.

Bookings are essential. RSVP by this Friday (February 6) by phoning 4645 4579 or email disability@campbelltown.nsw.gov.au.
