Dear Seattle will be one of three headline acts at this year’s Fisher’s Gig music festival at Bradbury Park on November 4.

For local live music fans, Bradbury Park will be the place to be on Saturday, November 4.

There will be non-stop music by three headline acts and a host of local performers as part of the 20th annual Fisher’s Gig.

Dear Seattle, Stand Atlantic and Ugly Mundays will head this year’s line up at the popular youth music festival.

Every year Fisher’s Gig offers a platform for young performers aged 12 to 25 to display their talent to a vast audience, and gain valuable professional experience at a live music show.

The gig has been part of the annual Festival of Fisher’s Ghost celebrations since 1998, starting as a band competition and growing to become an award winning music festival.

Festivalgoers can expect an impressive and energetic performance from Dear Seattle, who have been shaking up the live music scene in Australia.

The four piece rock alternative band promise to serve up a dose of head banging, melodic punk rock.

Stand Atlantic, a female fronted band promising a stunning live performance, and Ugly Mundays, influenced by 90s era rock influences, will join the main headliner.

The line up of local talent, chosen from this year’s pre-selection heats at Greg Percival Community Centre in July, includes Silver Strings, The Shang, Stone Rock, As We Fall, The Winter Effect, Helios and Snoteleks.

Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr George Brticevic, invited the community to go along and support the performers, and see for themselves Campbelltown’s depth of musical talent.

[social_quote duplicate=”no” align=”default”]“Fisher’s Gig provides young people with an opportunity to showcase their talent in front of a large crowd, and allows local music fans to enjoy quality entertainment on their doorstep, at a free and safe venue,” he said.[/social_quote]

“Council is pleased the gig continues to be a success, attracting outstanding headline acts year in and year out.”

Fisher’s Gig will finish in spectacular style with a huge fireworks display at 9pm.

The free, all ages, drug and alcohol free event, is hosted by Campbelltown City Council with the support of young people from the Youth Entertainment Reference Group.
