Don’t miss your chance to enjoy the Fisher’s Ghost Carnival at Bradbury Oval over two huge, fun-filled weekends starting this Friday.

More than 25 adrenalin-pumping, stomach-churning rides will make their way to Campbelltown for the popular annual event.

Take on the Pirate’s Revenge and the Hurricane, or for those enjoying a quieter pace, there will be the thumps and bumps of the Dodgem Cars, Rockin Tug and Fantasy Cup rides, sideshows, showbags and tasty carnival-style treats.

The Friday Fun Frenzy four-hour unlimited ride passes will be available again this year.

The passes will be available for pre-sale from the Campbelltown Visitor Information Centre for $30, or at the carnival on Friday nights for $37.50.

Passes are redeemable for one Friday night only, between 6pm and 10pm.

A spectacular fireworks display will also thrill the crowds on both Saturday nights at 9pm.

The carnival is part of the Festival of Fisher’s Ghost which runs from Friday, November 3 to Sunday, November 12, and this year promises a revamped program which includes a twilight street parade for the first time ever, and the street fair on the same day as the parade, Saturday, November 4.

The popular and free Fisher’s Family Fun Day will run adjacent to the carnival on both Sundays again this year, offering even more entertainment and activities, with an animal nursery, reptile show, face painting and tattoos, roaming and stage entertainment, live music, children’s rides and workshops.

Plus, there will be a visit from Batman and his Batmobile, and the adrenaline rush of the Freestyle Kings Motorbike Show.

Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr George Brticevic, encouraged the community to come along and enjoy the exciting atmosphere of the Fisher’s Ghost Carnival.

“The carnival is one of the highlights of the festival with so much to do and enjoy over two weekends, including a spectacular fireworks display on both Saturday nights,” he said.

“It’s little wonder we have such a fantastic turnout for the festival each year, with a huge variety of family-friendly, high calibre events on offer right here on our doorstep.”
