State Member for Menai, Melanie Gibbons MP together with Councillor Ned Mannoun, Mayor of Liverpool City Council and Councillor Tony Hadchiti cut the first slice of pizza at the opening of the very first Little Caesars restaurant in Australia.
Little Ceasars is located in Casula.
Ms Gibbons said: “It is fantastic to see international organisations investing in our local area.
“Little Caesars will provide jobs to locals and boost the economy in this area.
“It is a great win for the area to have the first store in Australia opening here and will really put Casula on the map for international visitors and those who are after the taste of pizza they remember from trips to the US.”
Director Ernest Koury chose Casula due to the ideal location on the Hume Highway thinking it would be easy for people to drive through and pick up a cheap meal.
Little Caesars was first opened over 50 years ago in Garden City, Michigan by Mike and Marian Ilitch.
Little Caesars is the largest carry out pizza chain in the world and an internationally known brand with stores in America, Canada, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait Mexico, Puerto Rico, Egypt, Guam and El Salvador.
Little Caesars has plans to franchise throughout Australia.
