Man charged after firearm seized at Narellan Vale

A man has faced court after a firearm was seized from a home near Camden.

Acting on information received, investigators attached to Camden Police Area Command executed a search warrant at a home in Plane Tree Drive, Narellan Vale.

Police allegedly located an unauthorised pistol under a mattress, which was seized for forensic examination.

Following the investigation, police arrested a 48-year-old man who was taken to Camden Police Station where he was charged with possessing an unauthorised pistol.

He appeared before Picton Local Court last Thursday, where he was granted conditional bail to reappear before the same court on December 14.

in other police news, a young girl missing from South Western Sydney for almost two weeks has been found safe and well.

The 15-year-old was last seen at an address on Therry Road, Campbelltown, about 7.50pm on Friday, November 17.

When she was unable to be located, officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Following inquiries and an appeal for assistance, the teenage girl was located in Liverpool last Thursday, November 30.

Police said they would like to thank the media and the community for their assistance.
