It’s still a feast, but not as we know it

The third year of the Feast festival will unfortunately be different, thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic.

This year’s Feast Festival is coming right to the doorstep of Campbelltown residents with Feast@Home and Feast on the Go during September 19-26.

While the 2020 festival event at Redfern Park has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 health situation, people can still enjoy dining on the exotic flavours and creating crafts of Campbelltown’s many cultures.

Local children can share their favourite food or meal from their culture with a short video, image or drawing.

Each entry will go into the draw to receive a Feast@Home cultural cooking or craft box.

People will also be able to order some of the best multicultural cuisines from around town with a Feast on the Go meal deal.

Council is supporting local business and partnering with local cafes and restaurants to promote multicultural meal deals.

“Feast is a hugely popular community event that celebrates the many wonderful cultures of our community through common interests such as food and craft,” Mayor George Brticevic.

“While it’s a shame that we can’t gather together to enjoy the festival this year, I can’t wait to see the amazing array of foods that our community shares,” Cr Brticevic said.

“I look forward to welcoming everyone back to Redfern Park next year to enjoy the colours, smells and sounds of Feast,” he said.
