Robbie Farah will be the key man at this afternoon’s clash of the Wests Tigers with the Parramatta Eels at ANZ Stadium. Kick off is at 4pm.

Wests Tigers will be looking to bounce back from their awful performance last week against the Gold Coast Titans when they line up against the Parramatta Eels this afternoon at Homebush.

The round 4 Easter Monday clash with the Eels will give Jason Taylor and his team the chance to redeem themselves after a forgettable 80 minutes on the Gold Coast.

After racing to an early lead, the Tigers went to sleep, allowing the home side to sneak away with the game and the two premiership points.

But in a little over four hours [kick off is at 4pm] at ANZ Stadium, the Tigers will welcome back their State of Origin hooker Robbie Farah, who will be the key to their fortunes this afternoon.

If he can turn back the clock and blitz Parramatta with strong dummy half runs we last saw three to four years ago, Farah will go a long way towards helping his team win.

But whoever wins one thing is guaranteed: this will be a treat for fans of both clubs.

Most of the clashes between the Eels and the Tigers are close, drama packed 80 minutes of football.

Since its inception in 2014 this Easter Monday clash has had plenty of highlights, including a Luke Brooks field goal two years ago and some Pat Richards magic in 2015.

But today there’s more at stake for fans than just a great game of footy: one fan will get the chance to win a whopping $100,000.

Wests Tigers, with the support of match day sponsors One Solutions, will give a fan the opportunity to kick for $100,000 at half-time.

The equation is simple: convert one shot at goal from 40 metres out, right in front at ANZ Stadium, and the $100,000 is yours.

Details of how to win will be announced at the game.

Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe said that the Easter Monday clash has become one of the highlights of the NRL season, with the Kick for $100,000 to add to that.

“The Easter Monday fixture has quickly become one of the standouts on the rugby league calendar and this year is no different,” Pascoe said.

“Adding to what is already a big day will be the Kick for $100,000 at half time.

“We’ve made a big effort to improve our game days for members and fans this year and the Kick for $100,000 is another example of that,” he said.

“The club is committed to providing the best possible experience for our fans, while offering a real point of difference from other sporting events.

“I encourage all members and supporters of both Wests Tigers and Parramatta to be at ANZ Stadium on Monday for their chance to win.”
