Macarthur will be laying out the welcome mat this week for the players from Samoa, Tonga, Papua New Guinea and Fiji at the Pacific Test Invitational fan day and captains call.

A free event, it will be held at Campbelltown Athletics Centre on Wednesday, June 20, from 4.30pm to 7pm.

Football fans, junior players and the whole community will get the chance to meet every player from all four teams playing in the Pacific Test Invitational at Campbelltown Sports Stadium this coming Saturday, June 23.

Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr George Brticevic, said the fan day and captains call was a great opportunity for the community to participate in the activities celebrating the Pacific which were occurring across Campbelltown in the week leading up to the Invitational.

“There will be a table more than 100 metres long to ensure there is room for all the players to sign autographs and have selfies with fans,” he said.

“Kids will be able to participate in NRL Development Clinics, have fun on the jumping castles, and be entertained by roving performers.

“Come along after school and work to have a free fun night out.

“Grab your dinner from one of the food trucks, peruse the stalls and head over to the stage to listen to the sounds of the Pacific with musicians, drummers and dancers performing on stage.”

The Pacific Proud Hub at Macarthur Square shopping centre will be another fun place to visit in the lead up to the Pacific Test Invitational.

It will feature entertainment, giveaways, fun activities and the opportunity to purchase game day tickets. Drop in 10am to 2pm this week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday).

On Thursday night the Pacific Proud Hub will be open late from 4pm to 9pm.
