The bigger amenities building at Waminda Oval landed just in time for East Campbelltown Eagles.

While the rugby league club’s legendary Sydney Shield side did not make an impression in a shortened season, the Eagles still managed to add six more major trophies to their growing collection of silverware.

East Campbelltown ended up with a six premiership haul after eight of their teams qualified for eight grand finals in 2020.

“Every year our club seems to break new club records and this year has been no exceptions,’’ says club president Daniel Draper.

Eagles won premierships in the Under 9 Division 2, Under 9 Division 1, Under 10 Division 1, Under 11 Division 1, Under 12 Division 1 and Under 18 Division 1 (pictured below).

“Our club is proving to be a formidable first division club and at this rate we will have to get an extension on the clubhouse and buy another trophy cabinet,’’ said Draper, no doubt tongue in cheek.

“Well done to the Under 14 Division 2 and our reserve grade for being Grand Finalists.’’

Mr Draper said the Eagles will now start preparing for a huge 2021 season as it will also celebrate the club’s 60th year since it was founded.

He said the milestone will be marked in a number of ways, including a special anniversary jersey and an anniversary dinner.

“We will also select the East Campbelltown Eagles team of the last decade,’’ he said.
