We already knew that the 14 storey residential and commercial tower rising out of the ground at 8 Dumaresq Street was going to be something special.
The building is set to be the most functional, energy efficient, modern work place in the heart of Campbelltown when it is completed early next year.
Now Saxon Developments, the company behind this exciting project, the first of its kind in Campbelltown for 25 years, have another reason to be confident it will be a success.
TQM, the company selected to build 8 Dumaresq Street, have just received a four gold star rating from the new Independent Construction Industry Rating Tool (iCIRT).
The best any builder can get is five stars, and anything three and over is very good.
TQM shared the news on social media recently and one of the people to congratulate them was David Chandler, the NSW Building commissioner at the NSW department of customer service.
“Congratulations #TQM. You are joining a growing list that is embracing the #CONSTRUCTNSW reform objectives,’’ Mr Chandler wrote.
“You are sure to help rebuild confidence with #Consumers at this important phase of ensuring new supplies of housing.’’
A spokesperson for Saxon Developments told the South West Voice in Macarthur that the four gold star rating for TQM had not come as a surprise to them.
“Congratulations to TQM, fully deserved,’’ a spokesperson said.
“We selected TQM to build 8 Dumaresq Street after doing a thorough due diligence, and they were obviously a quality builder.
“The four gold star rating confirms what we already know and we look forward to the completion of our building.’’
