A 22 year old Spring Farm man will appear in Campbelltown Court today to face drug and firearm charges.
He was arrested yesterday and taken to Narellan police station where he was charged with a number of offences.
Around 10.30am yesterday, detectives attached to the Camden Local Area Command stopped a black Holden Commodore on Spring Farm Drive, Spring Farm.
After speaking to the driver – the sole occupant of the vehicle – detectives performed a search of the car, resulting in them allegedly locating:
– A .22 calibre pistol with silencer and 3.5 grams of crystal methylamphetamine, commonly known as ice.
Following the seizure of the gun and the drugs, police went to a home on Spring Farm Drive, Spring Farm.
A search of the property resulted in officers allegedly locating another five grams of crystal methylamphetamine, seven ecstasy tablets, two .22 calibre rounds of ammunition and cash.
Police allege they also found a number of caged snakes, one of which was a large boa constrictor.
Police seized the drugs and ammunition, while personnel from NSW National Parks and Wildlife were called in to handle the snakes.
