Get howling Camden, your favourite doggy festival is back with a twist in 2021.

Paws in the Park returns with a combination of live and online activities for our furry friends on Sunday, May 2.

The live event, to be held at Camden Bicentennial Equestrian Park from 9am-1pm, will include:

  • Paws 2km walk – Enjoy a walk through the track at any time throughout the event with your pup;
  • Information stalls and market – dog organisations, vendors, vets and other services;
  • Demonstration screen – A giant screen displaying dog demonstrations;
  • Food and drink stalls throughout the site.

The annual pet competitions and colouring-in competition will be held on council’s social media channels this year with a number of organisations also providing online activities and demonstrations.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli, pictured above in the venue, said the altered event was the ideal way to keep people safe.

“We would love to hold our usual Paws in the Park event, however as we live through the Covid-19 pandemic it is important to follow all NSW Health guidelines,” Cr Fedeli said.

“The mix of both a market and online event gives pet owners the chance to still come out and participate in the 2km walk at the Camden Bicentennial Equestrian Park while also taking part in the usual pet competitions from the comfort of their homes.

“I encourage everyone to get involved with Camden Council online and submit your photos to enter the pet competitions.”

Pet photo competition details will be announced on council’s social media accounts.
