The Disability Trust, which has been providing support to individuals and their families across Macarthur since 2002, has opened new premises in Campbelltown.
The Disability Trust new local offices were officially opened yesterday morning.
The opening also saw the official launch of Club Trust’s new social and recreation groups across Macarthur.
The new site for The Disability Trust is at 28 Broughton St, Campbelltown and is the base for Thursday and Friday night Social Group and Weekend Club.
Blake, who was one of the first participants to attend these groups said:
“After a difficult time at home, I moved into the Ruse home and it was here that I joined the social group.
“I get to meet new friends and socialise, I am a very outgoing person and enjoy getting out into the community,” Blake said.
The Disability Trust says that as a trusted provider of a range of NDIS supports, it offers vacation care, capacity building and individual skills development groups.
Executive manager Katharine Carney says that the new Campbelltown premises is a perfect space for a wide range of skills development activities.
“The opportunities are endless, we have a great space and will be running interest groups such as cooking as well as support to school leavers (SLES) and providing a positive and encouraging environment for people to learn and practice new skills,” she said.
