Two police cars in the Camden command are now fitted with defibrillators.

“If one life can be saved by these defibrillators, they will certainly prove their worth to the community,’’ said Superintendent Paul Fuller, the Camden Local Area Police Commander.

Last week representatives of the Macarthur branch of the Retired and Former Police Association (RFPA) presented Supt Fuller and the Camden crime manager,  Chief Inspector Paul Albury with the two defibrillators, for use in their Command.

Supt Fuller, on behalf of the Camden Local Area Command Police officers, expressed his gratitude to the sponsors and the Macarthur branch of the RFPA for their generosity and commitment towards the purchase and delivery of the defibrillators.

He said they would be put into immediate use.

The defibrillators were purchased using the proceeds of a special charity golf day organized by Macarthur RFPA earlier this year to raise funds for this purpose.

The Camden Command are the first to receive their allocation.

A presentation has been organised to present the Liverpool Police Command with their allocation of defibrillators this Thursday, August 31.

Macarthur RFPA say they are still waiting for a confirmed decision from the Campbelltown Command.
