Dead: Man out for morning walk hit by car at Edmondson Park

A man has died after being hit by a car in Edmondson Park earlier this morning.

Police have been told the man, aged in his 30s, was walking along Croatia Avenue at 5.30am with a relative when he was hit by the car.

He was treated at the scene, however efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.

The driver, a man aged in his mid-30s, has been taken to hospital for mandatory testing. He was uninjured.

The Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit have commended an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.

A Narellan man who was arrested and charged twice yesterday – will appear in court today over a string of drug and stolen property offences.

The man was arrested after officers attached to Camden Police Area Command stopped a Volkswagen Golf on Camden Valley Way around noon yesterday.

Officers spoke with the driver and searched the vehicle, allegedly locating $6,400 in cash concealed under the steering wheel of the vehicle and a resealable plastic bag containing 19.4g of cannabis.

The driver, a 35-year-old man, was arrested and taken to Narellan Police Station where he was charged with possessing a prohibited drug and dealing with the proceeds of crime.

He was then granted conditional bail to appear at Picton Local Court on June 23.

However following further inquiries a search warrant was executed at a home on Rudd Street, Narellan, just after 4pm, where an additional 3.2kg of cannabis, 18 brand watches and tools were allegedly located.

The 35-year-old man was again arrested and taken to Narellan Police Station where he was charged with supplying cannabis and with having goods suspected of being stolen.

This time he was refused bail to now appear at Campbelltown Local Court today.

An eighth person has been charged in relation to the death of a man after a brawl outside an Ingleburn home last year.

Detectives charged the 26-year-old man with concealing a serious offence, and being accessory after the fact to murder.

He was refused bail and appeared via video link at Campbelltown Local Court yesterday.

Detectives from Campbelltown have so far charged four men, one who was aged 17 at the time of the incident, two aged 18 and a 19-year-old, with murder, a 27-year-old woman with concealing a serious indictable offence and being an accessory after the fact to murder, a 15-year-old girl with concealing a serious offence, and a 19-year-old woman with concealing a serious offence. They all remain before the courts.

The incident took place just before 10pm on Friday, May 24 last year.

Emergency services were called to Chester Road, Ingleburn, after reports of a brawl involving a large group of people.

The brawl is believed to have begun during a party at a home on Chester Road, before it spilled out into the street.

Upon the arrival of officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command, the crowds began to disperse.

An 18-year-old man was located on the road with serious head injuries.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, who took him to Liverpool Hospital, where he later died.
