Ten years after they last visited Australia, daredevil freestyle motorcycle stars the Crusty Demons will start their national tour and host their only Sydney show in Campbelltown later this year.

The announcement is the latest major coup for Campbelltown Sports Stadium that is attracting international entertainment and sports events.

Members of the Crusty Demons, who have set 11 world records in their careers, will perform a range of  new tricks, turns and flips as well as the well-known quarter pipe as they push the limits to go faster, higher and bigger than before.

The tour comes after news that Campbelltown Sports Stadium will become the home of the Macarthur South West Sydney A-League team from 2020.

The stadium also hosts NRL side Wests Tigers’ home games, the International Rugby League Pacific Test Invitational, A-League matches and a range of community events during the year.

It has also hosted the Super X Australasian Supercross Championships  in 2011, Asian Football Confederation matches  and W-League games.

With South Western Sydney experiencing the fastest growth in the nation, it makes sense that more sporting and entertainment events make the stadium their home and choice of venue.

“The stadium is recognised as a preferred venue in the Sydney market for its high standard of facilities, amenities and proximity to public transport and major roads connecting to Sydney, Western Sydney and the Illawarra,” says Mayor George Brticevic.

“We are pleased to facilitate more activities at our stadium, which is proudly owned by our community, and to bring these events to our city for residents to enjoy,” Cr Brticevic said.

“The show will bring tourism and economic benefits to our city, attracting fans of extreme sports from all over Sydney to see some of the best riders from around the world,’’ he said.

The Crusty Demons Rise of the Demons show will be held from 7pm, Saturday, August 10 at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.
