Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre will get into the spirit of the 2015 NSW Seniors Week with two days of country and western entertainment, activities, food and lots more.
It’s all on next week, Friday and Saturday, March 13 and 14.

Friday, March 13
Film: Bran Nue Dae: Set in Broome, Australia, in the late 1960s, Bran Nue Dae is a joyous outback musical comedy about following your heart, forgiveness and finding your way home. The star studded cast includes Rocky McKenzie, Jessica Mauboy, Ernie Dingo, Geoffrey Rush and Missy Higgins.
Rated PG; 11am – 12:35pm, free.
Bush Tucker Buffet: Seniors and Children $5; Adults $17.50, includes main, side dishes and dessert. 12:45pm – 1:45pm.
Boot-scooting with Kathryn Sloan and George Sich Live, free. Award winning line-dancer Kathryn Sloan and George Sich will teach you the basics to boot-scoot in this fun dance class. Get your boots on for a heel and toe workout! 2:30pm – 3:30pm.
Saturday, March 14:
Renny Kodgers Live. Kenny Rodgers impersonator Renny Kodgers will entertain you with his unique blend of comedy and country music. Join him as he performs songs you know and love along with his comedic slideshow. Have your picture taken with “The Kodge” in a country themed photo booth. 11am – 12pm, $10.
Country & Western Cake Decorating contest. Are you an amazing cake decorator? Enter the Country & Western themed cake decorating contest for your chance to win a mystery prize. Cake entries will be judged and the winner announced by special guest performer, Renny Kodgers. Be as creative as you can with the theme in mind. 12 noon – 12:30pm and it’s free entry.
