Corporate Clash 2016 was again a big hit.
Out of the office and into the boxing ring: Corporate Clash 2016 was again a big hit.

It’s the charity fundraiser where local business people swap the suit and tie for shorts and boxing gloves.

It’s called Corporate Clash and it has been a big hit since a couple of mates came up with the idea in 2014.

A couple of weeks ago the business people from the Macarthur region once again left their comfort zones, put on the boxing gloves and hopped into the ring to cop a hit or two to help raise funds for a great cause.

The Cure Brain Cancer Foundation and Camden Rotary Club have been the beneficiaries of more than $200,000 since the first Corporate Clash in 2014.

The third Corporate Clash in 2016 was once again sold out with more than 600 people attending.

This year’s Clash was held once again in the Cube, Campbelltown Catholic Club.

The 2016 participating “boxers’’ were:

1.       Mark “The Killer” Kelynjan from Camden Hire

2.       Rob “The Bruiser” Burton from Nepean Quarries

3.       John “The Master” McDonald from John McDonald Building Services

4.       Grant “The Hammer” Butterfield from Marsdens Law Group

5.       Kimberley “The Warrior” Winton from MLG Conveyancing

6.       Claudia “Claude Van Bam” Sanzoni from Just Cuts Narellan

7.       Anthony “Hurricane” Hopewell from HDSA Group

8.       Troy “The Undertaker” Newman from Boss Windows

9.       Dave “Hit Me” Moore from Jade Electrical

10.   Aaron “The Gasman” Ferguson from Macquarie Grove Homes

11.   Michael “The Russian” Pes Jnr from Tiger Insulation

12.   Jason “The Sure Thing” Shaw from Camden Hire

13.   Adam “The Destroyer” Sapienza from Macarthur Castles

14.   Daniel “The White Rhino” Richards from Macarthur Electricals

15.   Matt “Mad Dog” Macbeth from Matt McBeth Plumbing Services

16.   Matt “Macho” Lindsay from Lindsay Civil Pty Ltd

Corporate Clash 2016 was again a big hit.
This year’s Corporate Clash raised $104,000, a brilliant effort.

As you can see from the list above there were two female participants, who may be paving the way for more from their gender in coming years.

But it was a great result nonetheless in 2016, with all of these local businesses supporting this great event.

One more thing: the two mates who came up with the Corporate Clash in Macarthur, Camden Hire’s Mark Scarce and Marsdens Law Group’s Grant Butterfield, have done more than just talked the talk over the past three years.

Both have got into the ring themselves, with Mr Butterfield putting on the boxing gloves for his third year in a row at the 2016 Corporate Clash.
