What are your concerns about the western Sydney airport plans?

As part of the plans for an airport at Badgerys Creek 400 jobs have already been created with the start of road infrastructure work.

As part of the $3.6 billion Western Sydney Infrastructure Plan the roads package and the proposed airport will create up to a further 7,600 jobs during construction.

Over 30,000 jobs could be generated directly by the airport’s operation by 2060, and indirect employment around the airport site could contribute an additional 30,000 jobs.

But how is all that going to affect residents in and around the airport site in the meantime?

If that includes you, would you like to know more about how the Australian Government is progressing plans towards an airport for Western Sydney at Badgerys Creek?

Do you have some questions you’d like to ask someone who may be able to answer your concerns?

A draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and draft Airport Plan are currently being developed and will be on display for community consultation before the end of this year.

But in the meantime the federal government is holding community drop-in sessions this month, providing an opportunity to find out more about the process for developing the draft EIS and Airport Plan, how an airport would be a catalyst for growth in Western Sydney, and other information on the project.

More detailed information sessions will be held when the draft EIS and draft Airport Plan are available for public comment.
