Well done: The Youth Solutions fundraising committee, with ceo Geraldine Dean in the centre.

The theme was fiery red and winter white at the Youth Solutions Fire and Frost annual charity event on Saturday, but the reception was far warmer from those who attended as they helped raise $40,000 for the youth charity.

The event, held at The Cube, Campbelltown Catholic Club, is the major annual fundraiser for Youth Solutions, raising funds to support the charity’s youth drug and alcohol prevention and health promotion programs in Macarthur and Wingecarribee.

Over 400 guests attended this year’s function, enjoying a delicious three course meal and special performances from fire twirlers, party band Planet Groove and The Voice 2016 winner Alfie Arcuri.

Amongst the spectacular fire and frost décor, what really shone through was the great spirit of the local community and the generosity of Youth Solutions’ supporters.

“We are thrilled with the result of this year’s annual charity event and we are incredibly humbled by the level of support we have received from our community,” said Youth Solutions chief executive officer Geraldine Dean said.

“The funds raised from this event will do incredible things for Youth Solutions. This will help us to reach more young people with our programs and to utilise additional resources to ensure that our programs can have the maximum impact on the lives of the young people we work with,” Mrs Dean said.

“We’d like to thank everyone who supported the event, including those who attended or donated prizes.

“At Youth Solutions, we know that it takes the support and input from a whole community to prevent our young people from drug and alcohol related harm and we are very grateful to have the support of the Macarthur and Wingecarribee community.”

Mrs Dean encouraged people to save the date for next year’s Charity Event, which will be held at The Cube, Campbelltown Catholic Club on Saturday, July 28, 2018.

She also encouraged people to visit  www.youthsolutions.com.au to stay up to date with Youth Solutions’ work and fundraising activities.
