It’s not only adults who can enjoy the finer things in life – a mini foodies tour in the April school holidays will give kids the opportunity to travel to local farms and restaurants, learn where real food comes from, talk to passionate local suppliers and sample some delicious food for themselves.

Scheduled for Wednesday, April 18, the foodie adventure will begin in Camden from 9.30am and children, along with their parent or carer, will trek to some of Macarthur’s best, kid-friendly culinary spots.

As most local know the Macarthur region has a rich heritage of fine food, dating back to 1805 when colonial pioneer and the man it is named after, John Macarthur, first farmed the fertile land, and it became Sydney’s earliest food bowl.

Boasting fine dining while maintaining a rural feel with its farms, hills and dales, the Macarthur region is the perfect place to give children a lesson in the art of food.

The tour will be led by mother-and- daughter duo, Nicci and Livi Peverill.

Nicci is a Macarthur baker and food ambassador, known in the area for running popular boutique food and wine tours.

Aiming to be both educational and enjoyable for kids and parents, the mini foodie tours include hands-on food workshops, a delicious lunch and a goodie bag for kids, which includes recipes, information handouts,

colouring in sheets and baked treats.

Bookings are essential.
