Clever Bulls riding high after back to back triumphs

Macarthur FC head to Parramatta and Commbank Stadium this Sunday, New Year’s Day, to take on Western Sydney Wanderers in a top of the table A-League clash.

The Bulls will be full of confidence after back to back victories over Perth Glory and Sydney FC, which have helped the club climb the ladder to third spot.

After nine rounds the Bulls have 14 points, one less than the Wanderers.

But the ladder is so congested whoever loses on Sunday could drop several places.

After their clever 3-0 win over Sydney FC on Christmas Eve at the new Allianz Stadium, Dwight Yorke’s men will be looking forward for an opportunity to prove that they have finally got their mojo in gear.

The Bulls patiently soaked up a raft of attacking raids from Sydney FC in the first 30 minutes before methodically launching their own attempts on the home side’s goal.

Georgian striker Bachana Arabuli (pictured) struck during injury time in the first half to give the Bulls a 1-0 lead.

When the home side went down to 10 men after Joe Lolley was shown a red card 10 minutes into the second half, the Bulls went on to dominate the match.

Captain Ulises Davila made it 2-0 before Arabuli picked up a double to make it 3-0.

Arabuli also scored the goal that gave the Bulls a 1-0 win over Perth Glory in Campbelltown a week earlier.

His three goals have got him on the list of top goal scorers in the A-league, in fifth spot.

More importantly, this man knows how to score a goal, and might just be one of the best signings the Bulls have made in their short three season history.

Sunday’s round 10 match against the Wanderers will kick off at 5pm.

The Bulls return to Campbelltown on Sunday, January 8 when they will host the Newcastle Jets in the following round – kick off at 3pm for that one.
