A Claymore woman was due to appear in court today after allegedly pointing a gun at nearby residents on two occasions last night.

Police will allege in court that about 9pm a 54-year-old woman armed with a firearm went to a home on Abrahams Way, Claymore and knocked on the door.

Two male occupants opened the door and were confronted by the armed woman who allegedly threatened them with the weapon.

She left the premises and walked to a second address on Abrahams Way and again knocked on the front door.

A man and woman answered the door and they were allegedly also threatened by the woman, who then left.

Police have not said what the motive was for the two incidents.

Once what happened was reported to the police, officers from Campbelltown went to a home on Gould’s Road where they allegedly found a stolen bolt-action rifle.

A 54 year old woman was arrested and taken to Campbelltown Police Station where she was charged with possessing an unauthorised firearm and two counts of being armed with intent.
