Step right up and don’t be shy – Stockland’s Willowdale community in Denham Court is offering the ultimate summer holiday treat for youngsters – a free circus workshop next Wednesday, January 17.

From 9.30am to noon, children aged from five to 14 can get outside, get active and most importantly have fun at Willowdale Regional Park with a kids circus party workshop.

Participants will get the chance to hone two new skills for under the big top, including hoola-hooping, juggling, playing the diablo, plate spinning and partner acrobatics.

The workshop will be divided into two age groups for those aged from five to nine and 10 to 14 years and will also include a photo class with themed dress ups followed by a pyramid photo shoot.

Sophie Readman, Stockland NSW senior development manager residential communities, said the unique event provided a fantastic, free opportunity for kids to get outdoors, make friends and learn a fun circus skill from highly trained, energetic circus party entertainers.

“Stockland works hard to encourage the health and wellbeing of residents and the entire community and this circus workshop is not only a top boredom buster activity for the holidays, but a way for youngsters and families to further connect with their neighbours in a beautiful park setting,” Ms Readman said.

“All equipment will be provided for the event and all activities will be free, along with a complimentary morning tea for all participants.”

The workshop will be held at the Willowdale Regional Park located on the corner of Jamboree and Baden Powell Avenues.

Bookings are required via Willowdale Community Place on 9606 2229 or Yellow Umbrella on 4647 1283.
