Man in court over alleged choking of woman in Spring Farm

A man was due to appear in Campbelltown court today after he was charged with multiple domestic violence offences, including the alleged choking of a woman on two occasions.

Officers attached to Camden Police Area Command were called to a home in Spring Farm about 8.45pm last Thursday (July 11) and found a 41-year-old woman with injuries to her throat.

She was taken to hospital for treatment and a short time later, a 32-year-old man was arrested at a home in Eschol Park.

He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station where he was charged with two counts of stalk and intimidate (intend fear physical harm), two counts of intentionally choking a person with recklessness, and intentionally choking a person without consent.

The man was refused bail by police and appeared before Campbelltown Local Court on Friday (July 12) where he was formally refused bail to reappear before the same court today (July 16).

In other police news, a 15-year-old boy reported missing from Casula and featured in South West Voice has been found.

Following a public appeal for assistance at the weekend by officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command, the boy was found yesterday (July 15).

Police thank the media and the public for their assistance.
