Geek pop singer Meri Amber looks set to upstage superheroes at this year’s Free Comic Book Day on Saturday, May 6.
Ms Amber will be performing between 10am and midday at HJ Daley Library, which will be transformed into a comic book superheroes hub for the occasion.
Every year local comic book fans join fellow enthusiasts from around the world, dressing as their favourite characters, enjoying a variety of activities and celebrating the amazing world of comic books and superheroes at Campbelltown’s main library, located opposite Koshigaya Park.
The annual Free Comic Book Day is held on the first Saturday in May and sees comic book stores from around the world team up with publishers to give away millions of comic books.
Working in partnership with Kings Comics, Sydney’s best-known comic book specialty store,
HJ Daley Library will give away comic books (while stocks last), and host character meet and greets, games, craft, a Cosplay workshop, a comic book sale, a costume contest and Quidditch.
Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr George Brticevic, said the great range of activities on offer at Free Comic Book Day would be a lot of fun, and gave locals the opportunity to take part in a world-wide event.
